Running Programs - 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, Trail Running

Whether you are getting ready for your first 5K, looking to shave a few minutes off your 10K, or aiming to qualify for the Boston Marathon, one of Wenzel Coaching's experienced running coaches can help you reach your goals with run training programs and support that help you decrease your times while keeping you motivated and injury free. Your training program will help you with form, endurance, speed and pacing, as well as event-specific tactics and nutrition. You program will also work with your available time and balance training with the commitments in your life to work toward your best performance.

Competitive Marathon or Half Marathon

For those who have experienced marathon or half marathon and are now looking to improve their time and efficiency. Monthly training programs include daily exercises and contact with your personal coach. Exercises focus on form, speed, timing of recovery and everyday as well as event nutrition, using your coach's expertise and experience to build a program that help you finish faster and confidently. Each program can be adjusted to work with a real world schedule, including work, family and other commitments. These are not one-size fits all training plans but individually designed plans that take into a account current fitness and available training time as well as specific event goals.
 

First Marathon or Half Marathon

Enjoy rather than endure your first marathon or half marathon. Monthly training programs include daily exercises and contact with your personal coach. Exercises focus on form, pacing, strength recovery, and everyday as well as event nutrition. Your personal coach will help you perform and understand the training as well as work on the mental aspects of getting through a challenging event. Each program can be adjusted to work with a real world schedule, including work, family and other commitments. These are not one-size fits all training plans but individually designed plans that take into a account current fitness and available training time as well as specific event goals.
 

Endurance Trail Running

Trail running requires a specific set of skills and training that allows for the changing terrain and unexpectedness of a rougher running environment. Trail running coaches combine their trail running experience along with the latest in preparation for endurance trail running races. Each program can be adjusted to work with a real world schedule, including work, family and other commitments. These are not one-size fits all training plans but individually designed plans that take into a account current fitness and available training time as well as specific event goals.
 

Ultra Endurance Running

For those with a passion for endurance running, entry into Ultra Endurance Running is a serious endeavor. Wenzel Coaches with endurance running backgrounds are versed in the performance issues that plague most ultra endurance runners. 5 K/10 K
Whether you are training for your first 5K run or your 20th 10K run, a Wenzel Coaching can help you improve your form, pacing, nutrition, race day preparation and season planning and peaking.

Fitness Running

Wenzel Coaches can fit running into your fitness regimen or create a program that focuses on it. Form, pace, strength, nutrition and are all covered, and you'll make use of your regular consultation time with your coach to work on your strengths and areas of improvement toward a solid level of fitness and/or weight loss.

Return to Endurance Running After Injury

If you are returning to running after an extended time off due to injury, a Wenzel Coach can help you through the process of coming back confidently and potentially stronger than ever before. Many of our coaches have not only coached athletes to comebacks, but have lived through the experience themselves.
